I’m a child of the 80′s. I remember the peplum. I proudly wore the peplum.
Well. Now I’m here to tell you. It’s baaaaaack!!!!!
The peplum is great for accentuating the waistline, creating curves where you may not have them, and disguising a bit of a tummy. Plus, I just love the feminine styling.
Peplums come in various shapes and sizes. I personally love the partial peplum (no, that is not a technical term; I’m just not sure how else to describe it).

A particularly hot trend right now is the strapless peplum dress — perfect for a fancy night out on the town (if you have such opportunities .. mine are fairly slim to none these days).

I particularly like the notched peplum. It’s not QUITE as froo-froo as a full peplum but still gives you those curves we women covet!
